The Consultation

Consultation with Dr Henrietta Cook

At Avena Clinic we take a holistic approach to skin health, so every treatment commences with an in-depth consultation.

It is mandatory for new patients to book a consultation before booking any treatments. This thorough discussion and examination of your face are vital steps in understanding your concerns, allowing Dr Hen to formulate a tailored and effective treatment plan, providing clarity on the best approach for your unique needs.

Step 1:

Your consultation begins with you. Take a moment to look in the mirror and share your thoughts, concerns and goals for your skin. Dr Hen will then conduct a comprehensive full-face assessment, discussing the natural ageing process of the skin, taking into account your medical history, lifestyle and any factors that may influence your skin.

Step 2:

Your unique anatomy is carefully analysed in both a resting position and during muscle movement. This detailed assessment allows a personalised treatment plan to be tailored to your specific needs, avoiding a 'one size fits all' approach. Dr Hen will explain how your anatomy influences the chosen techniques and approach. Medical photographs will also be taken from multiple angles to document your journey and guide your treatment plan.

Step 3:

A personalised treatment plan will be created, including recommendations for skincare, supplements and lifestyle adjustments to support your skin health. You may choose to proceed with a treatment straight away or schedule the recommended treatment for a later date, giving yourself time to make an informed decision.
