Do you want beautiful, natural-looking lips?
Over time, the lips lose volume and hydration with age. Fortunately, we can prevent and restore this volume loss with a small amount of filler containing hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body to aid hydration.

Unlike poorly executed procedures often seen on social media, where overfilled, unnatural-looking lips are prevalent, Dr Hen prides herself on specialising in natural, subtle results, providing you with lips that look and feel naturally beautiful.
The Avena Approach
Step 1:
The initial stage is the consultation, where we discuss your medical and cosmetic history. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts, desired outcomes, and any concerns you may have. Dr Hen will then assess your lips both at rest and in motion, examining them from all angles.
Detailed photographs, including a side profile, will be taken to create a comprehensive record of your lips for our treatment planning.
Step 2:
Individual lip anatomy varies therefore a personalised treatment plan is imperative. Avoiding a one size fits all ‘signature technique’, Dr Hen will discuss how the unique anatomy of your lips will guide the approach used during the procedure.
This tailored plan ensures that the enhancement is harmonious with your natural features.
Step 3:
In line with your individual anatomy and desired outcome, a suitable filler will be selected.
In an industry rife with cheap and low quality options, Dr Hen exclusively opts for high-end fillers from a reputable French brand. These premium fillers contain the purest (grade 3) form of hyaluronic acid, along with antioxidants for additional benefits and long-lasting results.
Step 4:
To ensure your comfort, a numbing cream is carefully applied before the procedure. Prior to injecting, the treatment area is cleaned with a gentle and hypoallergenic cleanser, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for the procedure.
The actual injecting process takes around 20 minutes. Most people don’t find it very painful, but it can sting a bit. You will be given a stress ball to squeeze if needed.
Step 5:
While the initial results are immediate, there will be significant swelling. Don't be alarmed; this is not the final outcome. Expect continued bruising and swelling over the next few days, gradually settling by the end of the first week and fully healing in two weeks. The final results typically last for a year or more.
Step 6:
After your treatment, you’ll be provided with an aftercare bag containing post-treatment instructions, arnica gel to reduce bruising and a soothing ice pack.

As an Avena Clinic patient, you will also receive a complimentary skin consultation and a bespoke medical grade skincare plan tailored to your skin type, concerns and goals. This holistic post-treatment home care is designed to support the long-term health and radiance of your skin.
Step 7:
We hope you love your newly enhanced lips and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
If you want to increase the volume further, this can be performed after 4 weeks. Otherwise to maintain your current results, we recommend a top-up treatment every 1-2 years.
